Jill Investigates
by Valerie Hastings
The arrival of a new girl at Hazelmere immediately arouses the curiosity of Jill and her fellow fourth-formers. When she turns out to be the daughter of an interfering and officious school governor their curiosity gives way to mixed feelings, which soon become hostile. Her apparent friendliness with an unpopular prefect, who has a grudge against the fourth, provokes further hostility and Jill's natural sense of fairness is severely tested.
Those who have read Jill at Hazelmere will be glad of the opportunity to enjoy another adventure with Jill, Nina, and all the other girls of the fourth.
