The Harveys See It Through

by Phyllis Gegan

"Do you think you can manage on your own for six weeks?" Mr. Harvey asks his family of four, a few days before he sets sail for America on a business trip. Determined to prove themselves equal to the situation and enjoy themselves too. Miranda, Julian, Verna and Giles make plans. They little dream that before their father’s return they are to be faced with two crises which are to test their self-reliance to the full.
At an original and most successful party in the tree tops, a chance remark about their unlikely neighbour, Simon Blake, sets the four off on a venture which is to occupy much of their time and which is to have unexpected repercussions. Their further ploys and pleasures make thoroughly good reading and all girls will enjoy meeting the engaging and very human Harveys.
